About Our Approach

Hi! I'm Rachel, founder and owner of Health & Kindness LLC. With the combined perspective of being both a registered nurse and a registered dietitian, I bring over 12 years of experience in healthcare.

My own journey and recovery from disordered eating and overexercise ultimately led to my interest and career in nutrition, where helping others cultivate a compassionate relationship to food and their bodies is my true calling. I'm so glad you're here!

More about me →

My passions include disordered eating recovery and navigating body image concerns through the lifespan. I have a special interest in working with patients with gastrointestinal disorders and other chronic illnesses.

As a former multi-sport athlete and a student of classical ballet for 10 years, I also have a passion for working with athletes of all stages and levels of competition.

I value evidence-based approaches to nutrition, that also honor my clients' lived experiences. I emphasize a nutrition approach rooted in self-care and self-compassion.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my husband, trying new restaurants, watching and playing tennis, reading, yoga, playing with my cats, and drinking coffee.

Hi, I'm Erika! I became passionate about pursuing a career in healthcare during college, and what actually sparked that interest was my history of disordered eating. It wasn’t until I went to school to become a dietitian that I was introduced to the weight-inclusive, non-diet, non-traditional approach to nutrition. I fell in love with the compassionate approaches of Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size that remove the stress, judgement and stigma of trying to live up to an ideal diet and body. I struggled for years to develop a healthy relationship with food, exercise and my body. I want to help others develop that relationship, while honoring evidence-based nutrition practices.

I love working with individuals who are in recovery from disordered eating and eating disorders. I also enjoy working with athletes and active individuals to help them shift from fueling and exercising solely to achieve a certain weight to fueling and exercising for sport and performance.

I grew up in Pennsylvania, lived in Atlanta, Georgia for a few years, and currently live in Denver, Colorado. I love spending as much time in the mountains as I can, be it hiking or skiing, and exploring everything this beautiful state has to offer with my fiancé and pup. I am licensed in the state of Georgia and provide remote services.

Hi I’m Teryn! I’ve always had an interest in nutrition and have been a dietitian for 7 years, but it wasn’t until I came across Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size that everything clicked for me. I was tired of seeing my clients obsess over the number on the scale and ignoring their bodies' internal cues.

I take an empathetic approach with my counseling style to give you the space you need to learn, grow, and find freedom with food by ditching the rigid food rules.

I feel it is important to develop a positive relationship with food and movement through a non-diet approach. My goal is to help my clients improve their physical and mental health by establishing habits rooted in nourishment versus deprivation. I am also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.

I love working with individuals who are motivated to recover from disordered eating, eating disorders, or just improve their relationship with food. I'm a big believer you don't have to be "sick enough" to deserve working on your relationship with food. When I’m not working, I love yoga, traveling, live music, and spending time with my husband, son, ragdoll cat, and golden retriever.

I am the administrative assistant for Health and Kindness and I love helping new clients get started with our great dietitians! I handle all things billing and am always happy to answer any billing-related questions. I’ll be your point of contact for getting set up in our client portal and connecting you with one of our gals. I live in Salt Lake City, UT – which is why you might occasionally get emails from me at strange hours of the day – and I love hiking, camping, and hanging with my pup!
